For the Vikes, the running back and quarterback situation carry some questions with them. Adrian Peterson is slated to get the start, but we don’t know how much that really means, since they were able to concentrate on stopping Chris Johnson last week and did so, limiting him to 23 yards on eleven carries. And we don’t really know how much action he’s going to see. Christina Ponder is going to get the start again, despite his being benched last time out, after which Joe Webb rallied the team to a couple of touchdowns. If you’ve been a quarterback playing against Minnesota this season, you’ve thrown 26 touchdowns with only six interceptions. maybe Jared Allen can get enough pressure on Drew Brees to make things interesting. Remember that Brees is not the same quarterback on the road than he is at home (12 TD’s, 8 INT’s) and that the Vikings aren’t often blown out (only three of 11 losses by double digits).
